Leaving a big thank you to Ben De Valk at IllumiNation Window & Doors for his help in finding a new door handle for our sliding glass door. After calling and talking to half a dozen people all over Scottsdale & Phoenix, trying to find out who made our sliding door (house built in 2006 & we are not the original owners) Ben was able to identify the manufacturer of our slider (from photos we sent him) and order a replacement. Ben was very helpful & quick to respond and help us.

I’m a senior citizen who told this company that I wanted a sound dampening sliding glass door and window for my bedroom to help cut down on road noise. They quoted me a sound dampening door and window then a few days later, sent me a revised quote telling me they had to add an inch to the door and the cost would go up by around $160. They didn’t tell me they replaced the sound dampening glass with thinner, non sound dampening and I'm assuming less expensive glass on my revised quote. I found out after the installation was complete when I had a Milgard Tech come out to see why the new door let in so much noise. I paid close to $7,500 for a sliding glass door with non-sound dampening glass next to a window with sound dampening glass which makes no sense. I will now have to spend over $6k to replace the door that was just installed. I knew little about glass doors and windows then I purchased this. After the Milgard tech came out I did quite a bit of research and based on what I learned I feel I may have been taken advantage of on this sale. I believe the changes they made on my order were not in my best interest. I recommend you check the Yelp reviews for this company. Currently, close to half the Yelp reviews give this company a “1 Star” rating. This company is also currently the lowest rated partner in the Phoenix/Scottsdale area on the Milgard site.Also, shortly after I posted my original review, they responded below saying they are committed to resolving this. I have not heard back from them. I did send an email to the CEO of the company in Denver and have not heard back from him either. I also filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau almost a month ago and I have not received a response from them on that as well.
